The Grand Club at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, California, is one of the best Hyatt hotel club lounges in the United States. The lounge is capacity-controlled, so it’s hardly crowded, which makes for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy all lounge amenities. It also means that if you do not have Hyatt’s Globalist elite status or stay in the club room, it’s not easy to use the Hyatt Club Lounge Access Awards, but it’s not impossible.
Grand Hyatt San Diego Club Access
There are two towers at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego: the Seaport Tower and the Harbor Tower. The Grand Club is on the 33rd floor of the Harbor Tower, and your room key must be able to access the elevator and the entry door of the Grand Club Lounge.

Grand Hyatt San Diego Club Lounge Hours
- Breakfast:
- Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
- Mid-Day Snacks:
- Monday – Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.
- Evening Service:
- Hot Food: Daily 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Desserts: Daily 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego Club Lounge Seats
The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has a capacity controlled for lounge guests, so the lounge is relatively open and not crowded. Meanwhile, the lounge also has plenty of seats available, from dining tables and couch sofas to tall tables and barstools. Moreover, some small tables offer a beautiful view of San Diego Bay and the sunset, too.
Grand Club Breakfast
Breakfast inside the Grand Club at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego consists of three hot items: scrambled eggs, potatoes, and meats such as sausages or bacon. There are also European-style items, such as raw salmon, capers, tomatoes, red onions, and cold cuts. My favorite are the pastries, which are so delicious and quality-made.
Mid-Day Snacks
The mid-day snacks during the afternoon service in the Grand Club are very limited to three kinds of snacks and fruits. You’ll find cookies and nuts, but you can enjoy free fountain drinks and hot beverages.
Hot Food Evening Service
During the evening service, the Grand Club Lounge offers two hot entrees and a huge salad bar.
During my three-night stay, the hot entrees were shrimp, Barramundi fish, rice pilaf, potatoes, and ribs.
However, the salad bar is my favorite as it offers several nutritious options, such as salad, carrots, cucumbers, marinated tofu, white chicken breasts, mushrooms, dips, cheeses, and breads.
Beers & Wines
The Grand Club has the Grand Honor Bar. As the name suggests, you serve your alcoholic drinks and write your information on a piece of paper for which beverage you consume. Here’s the cost of each drink:
- Beer: $3
- Wine: $4
- Cocktail: $5
Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary.
Grand Club Desserts
The Grand Club does not serve desserts during the evening appetizers. However, dessert service starts at 7:30 p.m., which is 30 minutes before the evening food service ends. So, if you want to enjoy desserts after dinner inside the Grand Club, plan accordingly. Otherwise, you can enjoy the desserts until 9:30 p.m., and the mini sweet options are tasty and good quality, too.
Grand Club Lounge Staff
The lounge staff inside the Grand Club could be more attentive. However, I have no complaints there because they worked efficiently to restock the food and drinks. The service, on the other hand, fell short during my visit.
Other Grand Club Amenities
There is only one bathroom inside the Grand Club. In addition, there’s an open business center where you can use the computer to check emails, browse the web, catch up with social media, and print tickets or boarding passes.
